UPDATE: A woman was struck and killed by a freight train in Harrington Park last night, emergency workers confirmed this morning.
The victim was struck near the La Roche Avenue crossing around 9 p.m., according to CSX.
The site is about 100 yards south of Harrington Park police headquarters near the DPW building.
CSX and borough police were investigating.
The company said the 16-car train was bound from Newark to upstate New York.
