“My house shook, and so did many others,” Norwood Police Chief Jeffrey Krapels told Daily Voice. “Thank goodness it turned out to be nothing,”

County hazardous materials units rushed to the scene to join police and firefighters from Norwood, Old Tappan and other area towns at the end of River Vale Avenue around 7 p.m. after learning that one of the 16 CSX cars carried the paint-stripping solvent.
