Norwood man, 76, seriously injured in head-on Rockland crash

A 76-year-old Norwood man was seriously injured in a head-on car crash last night in Rockland County and had to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters while EMS workers tended to him.

Route 303 from Blauvelt to Orangeburg was closed for hours after a 2013 Dodge Ram driven by a 52-year-old Pearl River man crossed the double-yellow line and slammed into a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Albert Diana of Sutton Place in Norwood.

Diana was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla with serious injuries, the Nyack Free Press reported.

The other driver was treated at Nyack Hospital for injuries from the 8:20 p.m. collision just south of Bradley Parkway in Blauvelt, barely six miles north of Norwood. READ MORE ….
