TAPPAN, N.J. -- Tom Walsh, 91, of Tappan, died Dec. 19.
He was predeceased by his wife and son, Kitty (nee Nolan) and William, respectively. He was the father of Mary Danner (Danny), Kathleen Paxton (Jim), Monica Rolston (Mark) and Jamie Walsh (wife of Will). He was the brother of Janie, Moll and Mick. He was predeceased by siblings Willie, Dan, Joan, Jane, Jack, Nell and Nora.
He was the papa of Kate, Chris, Keith, Jamie, Mike, Dan, Tom, Paul, Laura, Caroline and Thomas.
He was a retired bus mechanic (MABSTOA) and paper handler at New York newspapers.
He was a member of The Kerrymans Association, Bergen Irish and the Irish Cultural Center.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart RC Church, Tappan, with interment to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet.
Visiting hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave, Northvale.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
