OLD TAPPAN, N.J. — Frank Margini, 79, of Old Tappan and formerly of Northvale, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016.
A devoted family man, he was the husband of Eva; father of Steven and his wife Laura of Wallkill, N.Y., Douglas of Old Tappan and Frank R. of Old Tappan; and grandfather of Samantha.
A proud American, Margini was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps during Korea and later joined the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring as a sergeant. He was an officer in the New York Police Department for 20 years before retiring and becoming superintendent of buildings and grounds at Northvale Public Schools.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., Northvale. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
