NORWOOD, N.J. -- Barbara S. Deitmaring, of Norwood, died on Friday, Jan. 13. She was 62.
She began her career in education teaching music as well as giving private piano lessons later becoming the district supervisor of elementary education for the West New York Board of Education. She dedicated her life to the promotion of music and education blessing many with a passion for learning.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas F. Deitmaring; children, Melissa and Robert.
She is predeceased by her sister, Rosemarie Walker.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., Northvale.
