Homeowners are advised to comply with re-inspection after confirming the visitor's inspector's identity with Appraisal Systems Inc.

A list of the Whippany-based company's certified appraisers can be found on their website.

City officials said the proposed re-assessments will be sent by mail to all home and property owners, at which point they can schedule an informal meeting with a firm representative to review the final re-assessment.

Assessment reviews will be finalized by early 2016 and new assessments will become effective for the 2016 tax year, according to the city.

If you have any questions about inspection, call Appraisal Systems Inc. at (201) 493-8530 or visit the section of their website detailing Passaic's property revalutation.
