HARRINGTON PARK, N.J.– Diane Walker was installed as the newest member of the Harrington Park Council, to fill a vacancy left when Michael Rutigliano resigned in February.
Walker was appointed as the council's liaison to the Department of Public Works, Recycling/Sanitation, and the Buildings and Grounds committee, officials said.
She joins Mayor Paul Hoelscher, Councilmen Gregory Evanella, Allan Napolitano, and Jorden "Nick" Pedersen, and Councilwomen Joon Chung and Laura Fitzgerald.
The term runs through the end of the year, so Walker would have to run again in November if she wants to keep the seat.
