Valley's New Pharmacy Offers Patients And Community In-Hospital Convenience

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- For patients at The Valley Hospital, filling a prescription or seeking the advice of a pharmacist can be done without ever leaving the building, thanks to the opening of the hospital's second retail pharmacy in Ridgewood.

Located on the first floor of the hospital, "Valley Health Pharmacy: The Valley Hospital” will enable hospitalized patients to have their prescriptions filled before leaving the hospital, and provide much-welcomed convenience for patients and their families. Additionally, patients will be able to adhere to their medication regimens immediately following discharge from Valley, rather than being required to visit an external pharmacy.

Valley’s patients will have the option of either picking up prescriptions as they are exiting the hospital or requesting their delivery bedside prior discharge. The pharmacy will also offer durable medical equipment such as canes and crutches for patients with limited mobility.

The new location’s pharmacists are Gita Natovich and Raymond Hawash, both graduates of Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy at Long Island University. Each brings nearly 15 years of pharmacy experience, and have spent the last year at Valley Health Pharmacy in Paramus.

The pharmacy will be open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

While the primary focus of the new pharmacy is to service Valley’s patients, the general public can also fill their prescriptions there.

A third retail pharmacy is planned for Valley’s Center for Health and Wellness, due to open in early 2018 in Mahwah.
