From Monday through Oct. 2, new carpeting will be installed and painting will be completed, library director Kristen Nelson said.

During the closure, the Cliffside Park Public Library, 505 Palisades Ave., will issue Fairview Library cards, Nelson said. The cards can be obtained after providing two forms showing proof of Fairview residency.

Because the Fairview Public Library is part of the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS), there are 76 other libraries available for use during the closure, Nelson said.

Nelson said due dates will not change and all items from the Fairview Library can be returned to any BCCLS library.

Items also can be picked up at any BCCLS library, but any item requested before Sept. 19 automatically will be sent to the Cliffside Park Library, Nelson said.
