NORWOOD, N.J. -- There's a temporary solution in place now that's kept the Norwood Swim Club's pool from contamination.
Should club members not find a way to fund an expensive permanent fix, however, the establishment could shut down for good.
A temporary water line was installed last summer after the contamination became known. Installation of a new water main is the identified fix, but at a cost of $50,000 it's also a great expense the club cannot afford on its own.
In response, the community is coming together.
The Blue Moon Mexican Cafe at 595 Broadway is hosting a Community Night from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. every Tuesday in March and April.
Those presenting a necessary card (available here) while purchasing lunch, dinner, take-out or delivery orders from the restaurant will see 20 percent of their bill donated to the cause.
To learn more about the 20 percent deal to benefit the Norwood Swim Club, call the Blue Moon Mexican Cafe at (201) 784-3311.
