Northvale Celebrates Its Centennial With Carnival

NORTHVALE, N.J. -- The Borough of Northvale will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a three-day carnival, Sept. 23 -25 at Hogan's Park.

The event will feature rides, games and food. All are welcome. Admission is free.

Attendees can purchase ride wristbands in advance (limited quantities) or at the carnival. Wristbands for a certain day's rides are $20 per person or $30 for any day of the carnival.

Carnival hours are 5-11 p.m., Friday, Sept. 23, 4-11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 and 2-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 25. Town Day will be from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 

The borough of Northvale was formed March 15, 1916 from the remaining portions of Harrington Township, based on the results of a referendum April 4, 1916.

With the creation of Northvale, Harrington Township was dissolved.
