HAWORTH, N.J. -- Haworth Boy Scout Troop 73 is having its biannual clothing, toy and bike drive on Saturday, Aug. 6.
The troop will be collecting all types of clothing (please pack in plastic bags with shoes separately), as well as a variety of other items, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Terrace St. parking lot.
Along with clothing, shoes and bicycles, they're hoping to get:
- Stuffed animals / soft toys – any size;
- Hard toys, such as minifigures;
- All kinds of dolls, blocks, loose Legos, small cars, beach toys, dolls strollers, Play Dough sets, etc.
"We mean all toys around house [that] kids are not playing anymore," the Scouts said. "We prefer them in boxes (preferably no bigger than 24” x 24” x 12”) because in bags toys could break easily."
They're also hoping for baby accessories -- feeding bottles, pacifiers, bowls, sipping cups and diapers (don't have to be in original packaging).
NOT BEING ACCEPTED: Books, VCR tapes, CDs, furniture, kitchen appliances, strollers, car seats, cribs, high chairs, play centers, swings, bouncers and walkers.
