OLD TAPPAN, N.J. -- Find out about the home buying process at a workshop offered at the Old Tappan Library on Thursday, Nov. 3.
The event is for first time/anytime homebuyers and runs from 7-8 p.m.
Loan officer Angelo Lefer and realtor Kathy Sheridan will give an overview of the basics. They will cover:
- Why rent when you can own
- How to qualify for a loan
- What loans are available
- How to prepare for homeownership
- What you should know about the local market.
Lefer will explain the mortgage process, the various rates and different kinds of mortgages. Sheridan will discuss the local market.
