Charges Upgraded For DUI Teen Who Killed Mom Outside Teaneck Home: Prosecutor Charges have been upgraded for a Bergen County teen who was going 60 miles per hour in a residential zone when he killed a mother outside of her own home, authorities said. Alexander Vargas, of Bogota, was 17 at the time of the Jan. 25 crash when he struck a 2022 Nissan Rogue driven by Dymond T. Fryson at the intersection of Palmer and Sherman avenues in Teaneck just before 8 a.m., then fled the scene on foot, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
