: Downed Wires Ignite Minivan On Route 46
Wires downed during Friday afternoon's storm set a minivan on fire on Route 46. The vehicle ignited at the corner of Huyler Street and the highway in Teterboro, across from the airport, shortly before 4 p.m. Sept. 8. Smoke billowed across the street, momentarily stopping traffic just as the Friday evening rush was about to heat up (no pun intended). No injuries were reported. Two Hospitalized In Route 17 Crash
Two people were hospitalized after an overnight crash on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights. The extent of their injuries couldn't immediately be determined following the collision on the northbound side outside the Shell station at Malcolm Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m. Saturday. Members of the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad and the Wallington Emergency Squad responded along with Hasbrouck Heights police and firefighters. They took the victims to Hackensack University Medical Center. Both vehicles had to be towed.

Driver Ticketed In Hasbrouck Heights Multi-Vehicle Crash
A driver received a summons following a multi-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Hasbrouck Heights, authorities said. The 35-year-old Caldwell driver's Nissan Rogue crossed the double-yellow line and struck one vehicle, which rammed into a pole, then kept going and hit a second one outside the Skyline Apartments on Terrace Avenue around 12:30 p.m. He received a summons for failing to keep right, police said.
