ONLY ON CVP: An 81-year-old Ridgewood driver escaped injury and was issued a summons after her car was struck by a train in Ho-Ho-Kus today.

The eastbound 2008 Honda Accord was struck by the #77 Main Line train headed to Port Jervis from Hoboken at Brookside Avenue around 4:40 p.m., NJ Transit’s William Smith told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

A crossing signal and gate were damaged in the crash and the Honda had to be towed.

Roughly 70 passengers were picked up by another train, Smith said.

Ho-Ho-Kus police, firefighters and EMS workers responded, along with NJ Transit police.
