Detective Anthony Balistreri found the 45-year-old borough resident’s car in the station’s parking lot.

Balistieri credited “a good witness who was driving behind her car” on rain-slicked North Franklin Turnpike when it hit the 30-year-old pedestrian and then took off after dark Tuesday.

The victim was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with an injury that wasn’t life-threatening. The next day he confirmed the witness’s account of a brown Buick luxury SUV.

The extent of his injuries didn’t rise to the level of criminal charges for the driver, Balistreri said.

So she was issued summonses for leaving the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident and careless driving.

She’s due in court April 3.
