Ian Flemmings, 23, of Paterson, was being held on a combined $75,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with various drug possession counts.

Flemmings was a passenger in a car pulled over by Maywood Officer Greg Mulawka for a traffic violation Monday night on Essex Street. The officer became suspicious when he smelled the odor of raw marijuana and obtained the unidentified driver’s consent to search the car, Chief David T. Pegg said.

Mulawka was involved in another set of arrests Friday afternoon involving three occupants of the same car, Pegg added.

He pulled over the vehicle on Route 4 West near Paramus Road after an electronic license plate determined that it had been reported stolen.

Backup units from Maywood and Paramus responded and arrests were made:

The driver, Sean Livingston, 26 of Nanuet, was charged with receiving stolen property. He was being held on $3,500 combined bail in the Bergen County Jail;

Passenger Elizabeth Julian, 26, of Upper Saddle River, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was released without bail pending a Municipal Court appearance;

Passenger Thomas Russo, 24 of Mineola, N.Y., was charged with hindering apprehension for providing a false name, the chief said. He was turned over to Park Ridge police, who had issued a warrant for Russo’s arrest.

Russo has charges outstanding in several Bergen County town, most of which involve drugs.
