SADDLE RIVER, N.J. – Kathleen A. Britt, a resident of Saddle River, died Friday, March 18. She was 71.
She graduated from Teaneck High School in 1962 and Penn State in 1966. She attended graduate school at Newark State College, Kean University, Lincoln College of Oxford University and Landmark College. She taught in Red Bank for one year and Middletown Township for 37 years as an elementary teacher and special education teacher at the elementary and secondary levels.
She is survived by her sister, Beverly Walsh of Ramsey; her nephew, George Mamunes (Maureen) of Allendale; her niece, Melanie May (Mark) of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Upper Saddle River; and her nephew, Gregory Mamunes (Kyung) of South Korea; great-nephews and great-nieces Andrew, Amanda, Emily and Sophia Mamunes; Evan and Alex May and Theo Mamunes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 3:30 p.m. at the Guardian Angel Roman Catholic Church 320 Franklin Turnpike, Allendale.
