PARAMUS, N.J. — Dogs, doughnuts and dumbbells: what could be better?
Dozens of people huddled around all three Saturday morning at Guerrilla Fitness CrossFit in Paramus, as the gym raised nearly $2,000 and collected donations to aid member Robyn Hendrix and her organization, Real Dog Rescue.
Hendrix of Hackensack and four friends opened the organization in December, and have since placed hundreds of dogs.
The friends have been incredibly successful in their endeavor, but following the series of hurricanes, have found themselves in over their heads as they've taken in dozens of new dogs.
All proceeds and donations from the CrossFit event will aid Real Dog Rescue.
The organization is holding a tricky tray next month in North Haledon.
