The project is for "Preserving Leonia’s Art Heritage," a group that is currently working on the restoration of dozens of donated pieces of art so that they can be shared with the community.

The ongoing exhibit is at the Anna C. Scott elementary school, and includes some works in the middle and high schools as well this year.

"Leonia was home to some of the greatest painters, illustrators, muralists, and sculptors during the first half of the 20th century," said Nike Bach, the chairwoman of the committee of PLAH. She is also involved in the borough’s community chest and previously served on the school board.

“They were made specifically for that space, and we’re looking to restore them. Some have holes, need reframing, or just need to be cleaned."
