Service to NJ Transit's Morris and Essex line was suspended for several hours after overhead wires were damaged by a broken tree branch Friday afternoon.
High winds snapped a tree branch west of Newark’s Broad Street Station, halting train services around 1:30 p.m.
Branch trains in Morristown, Gladstone and Montclair-Boonton were suspended as a result. Service resumed in time for rush hour.
