A beloved Morris County diner has permanently shuttered after three decades in business.
Alexis Diner on Route 10 in Denville closed its doors Monday, according to a Facebook post from the eatery.
“It’s the end of an era,” the post reads.
“With the current world climate and pandemic, we have decided to retire, in order to spend more time with family.”
The longtime eatery, which opened more than 30 years ago, extends gratitude to its loyal customers and the supportive community.
“The year of 2020 has taught us many valuable lessons,” the post says. “We are honored to have been a part of many customers' family milestones, watching multiple generations of families celebrate some of their favorite moments in our establishment.”
“We offer a special thanks to our hard working, loyal, and energetic staff who have stood by and weathered the storms with us,” the post concludes.
“Thank you for 30 wonderful years of good times and great memories.”
