DELAYS: Two Airlifted After Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Eastbound Route 80 In Mount Arlington

UPDATE: Medical choppers were summoned after two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash that closed eastbound Route 80 in Mount Arlington Friday afternoon.

The victims had to be extricated following the 1 p.m. crash near Exit 30, which brought AirMed One and NorthStar helicopters, responders said.

One lane of the highway was finally reopened amid a miles-long backup. Major delays continued approaching the Friday evening rush.
