Serious Crash Closes Route 71 On Jersey Shore (Developing)

A serious rush-hour crash closed Route 71 in Monmouth County, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 7:45 a.m. Thursday, May 25 near Route 537 (Eatontown Road) in Oceanport, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes remained closed at about 9:10 a.m., 511nj.org reported.
