A new UFC FIT Club will replace the former NJ Retro Fitness in Central Jersey.
The 16,810-square-foot facility is "designed to showcase the best of what UFC Gym has to offer," Urban Edge Properties said in a news release.
It will be located at The Place at Woodbridge on Route 1 across from Woodbridge Mall.
UFC FIT Model Clubs feature a variety of mixed martial arts training programs and classes, incorporating techniques from disciplines such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing and Kickboxing.
There also will be group fitness classes like Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and other fitness programs for all levels.
Youth programs will introduce kids to martial arts and promote physical fitness from a young age.
Additionally, the club offers personal training
“Bringing a UFC FIT Club to this space delivers a significant upgrade in fitness offerings for the surrounding area,” said Justin Lustig, vice president of Leasing at Urban Edge Properties. “The Plaza at Woodbridge already enjoys high daily traffic, and this new use will complement our existing anchors, drawing new visitors from an even wider area.”
