The male crash victim, who had not been identified as of Thursday night, was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. Caputo of the New Brunswick Police Department.
The man was fatally struck Wednesday evening on Livingston Avenue near Welton Street, they said.
The motorist remained at the crash scene and cooperated with law enforcement, they said.
The investigation is active and continuing.
