Shootings were reported in Asbury Park, Freehold and Trenton, all shortly before midnight Monday, according to initial reports.

EMS responded to a report of a victim with a gunshot wound to the neck at 11:30 p.m. on the first block of Atkins Avenue in Asbury Park, reports said.

The victim was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, according to an unconfirmed report.

At 11:31 p.m., Trenton police were called to a shooting on the 200 block of Spring Street, reports said.

A spokeswoman for the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said the victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

The shooting victim was taken by EMS to a regional medical center, according to an initial report. No other details were immediately available.

And at 11:58 p.m., EMS and Freehold police were called to a shooting on the first block of Washington Street. That victim also was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, initial reports said.

A spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said they had not been contacted about the shootings -- an indication they did not result in life-threatening injuries.
