Support Surges For Family After Sudden Death Of Beloved South Jersey College Student, 22

Support is on the rise for the heartbroken family of beloved South Jersey college student Jessica Mora Urbina, who died suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the age of 22.

Born in Barrio Mexico, Costa Rica, Urbina moved to Lakehurst in 2006, her obituary says.

Urbina later moved with her family to Perth Amboy before settling in Keansburg in 2018.

Urbina was a student at Lincoln Technical Institute in Iselin, her memorial says.

She was remembered for her kind and caring personality and ability to make others smile, according to a GoFundMe launched for her final expenses.

“Jessica was just 22, a loving daughter, sister, and friend,” reads the fundraiser, launched by Maria Urbina.

“Jessica had a heart of gold, was a true friend, and was loved by all those who had the pleasure of meeting her.”

More than $5,800 had been raised as of Friday.

“She had a kind smile that lit up any room she walked into and had the ability to befriend any soul,” reads the campaign.

Urbina’s funeral was held at Shore Point Funeral Home on Route 35 N in Hazlet.

“She was loving, caring, and simply a joy to know. She will be missed dearly by the ones she left behind.”
