The crash occurred at 11:34 a.m. on Thursday, June 23 on Interstate 195 east at milepost 31 in Howell Township, State Police said.
A single vehicle went off the road to the right and struck a tree, they said.
The driver suffered a head injury and was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center, reports said.
The accident is currently under investigation.
