Fentanyl, Heroin, Cocaine, Pot Seized In Camden Bust, NJ State Police Say

Authorities seized 36 pounds of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and marijuana in a recent South Jersey drug-dealing bust.

Four people were arrested after authorities seized more than $350,000 in cocaine, fentanyl, heroin and marijuana as well as nearly $51,000 cash, a stolen handgun and three vehicles, state police said. 

The arrests in Camden and Gloucester Township came after a 17-month investigation involving local, state, county and federal law enforcement authorities.

Warranted searches were made by police on March 30 at a home in Gloucester Township and three other residences in Camden resulting in the seizure of:

  • Four pounds of fentanyl
  • Five pounds of heroin
  • Six pounds of cocaine
  • 21 pounds of marijuana
  • $50,684 cash
  • A .380-caliber handgun reported stolen out of South Carolina
  • A 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe, a 2013 Ford Taurus and a 2015 Nissan Altima
  • 106 vape marijuana cartridges
  • 86 marijuana edibles
  • Prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia

Authorities charged Camden residents Felix Cruz-Ventura, 42; Daniel Garcia, 41; and Jennifer Gonzales, 30; as well as Randy Mora, 35, of Gloucester Township with money laundering and multiple counts of drug possession and distribution, police said.

Felix-Cruz and Mora also were charged with maintaining a drug production facility.

Mora was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child and a gun offense.

Cruz-Ventura’s home and a residence shared by Garcia and Gonzales were among the locations raided, state police said.

Camden County police, Gloucester Township police, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives took part in the investigation.

The case was investigated by New Jersey State Police Detective I Joseph Castle and Detective Craig Palma of the Gloucester Township Police Department.
