UPDATED: Authorities have identified the driver of a pickup truck who was killed Thursday after slamming into a snowbank and tree in South Brunswick.

Andrew Malouf, 73, of the Kendall Park section of town, is believed to have suffered a medical problem causing him to veer off Henderson Road, police said.

The crash was reported about 10:40 a.m. about 100 yards west of Route 1. Malouf was found unconscious in the pickup truck.

Malouf was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
