Rutgers Graduate, Dedicated Toms River Dietician Dies At 35

Born in Edison, Megan grew up in Sayreville before graduating from both the Cook College at Rutgers and the Rutgers School of Health Professions, her obituary says.

Megan had worked at Complete Care at Green Acres in Toms River, where she was a dedicated dietician who cared deeply for her patients.

Outside of work, Megan loved spending time with her family, cooking, and shopping, her memorial says.

Megan leaves behind her loving parents, Michael and Rose McCarthy; her boyfriend, Pete Gonzalez; her sister, Shannon Seevers and husband Donald; her sister, Kerry Daskalovitz and husband Kevin; her maternal grandmother Annerose Menden; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Megan’s celebration of life was held at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Toms River on Monday, June 27.

“You were just an AMAZING person in every sense of the word,” reads a tribute on Megan’s obituary.

“Farewell my beautiful girl, rest in paradise.”
