2 Men Arrested In Central Jersey Shooting Of Teenager: Prosecutor

Two men have been arrested in connection with the recent shooting of a teenager in Central Jersey, authorities said.

On Tuesday, Corey Fuqua, 19, of North Brunswick and Gede Maccelus, 20, of Princeton were charged with first-degree attempted murder and weapons offenses, according to  Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony A. Caputo.

On Jan. 20, at 7:09 p.m.., New Brunswick police responded to Throop Avenue and Redmond Street for a shooting. Police found a juvenile male. who had been shot. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his non-life-threatening injuries, Ciccone and Caputo said.

Fuqua and Maccelus were being held pending a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court.
