Winner: Jersey Shore Lottery Player Splits $770K Jackpot
A lottery player from Ocean County split the $770,218 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot.
Two lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
Each ticket is worth $385,109.
The winning numbers were: 06, 11, 14, 17 and 20 and the XTRA number was: 04.
The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning ticket sold.
Those winning tickets were sold at the following locations:
Ocean County: Brick Convenience Store II, 438 Mantoloking Rd., Brick. and
Essex County: Irvington Quick Stop, 218 Orange Ave., Irvington.
Vineland Manufacturer Recalls Costco Squash Over E. Coli
If you bought butternut squash from Costco recently, it may contain E. Coli.
Safeway Fresh Foods, based in Vineland, NJ, is recalling fresh-cut butternut squash sold in Costco stores in several states, due to E. Coli found during routine testing.
A letter was sent to customers who purchased the product between Sept. 7 and Sept. 15.
The squash product was sold in Costco stores in Washington D.C.; Maryland (Gaithersburg, Frederick, Columbia, Wheaton, and Owings Mills); Pennsylvania (Robinson and Homestead); and Virginia (Fairfax, Sterling, Pentagon City, Leesburg, and Charlottsville).

Crime Fighters From NJ Work Case Of Baby, 1, Killed By Fentanyl At NYC Day Care Center
The owner of a Bronx daycare center where a 1-year-old boy died from fentanyl exposure was seized by federal authorities on Tuesday along with her husband’s cousin.
Grei Mendez De Ventura, 36, the owner of Divino Niño Daycare, and her alleged accomplice, Carlisto Acevedo Brito, 41, were charged by the federal government on Sept. 19 with possession with the intent and conspiracy to distribute drugs resulting in death.
Meanwhile, a manhunt continued for De Ventura’s fugitive husband, who was identified as the leader of the drug operation.

Rash Of Burglaries, Vehicle Break-Ins, Home Invasion Reported In Jersey Shore Town: Police
There was a rash of burglaries, vehicle break-ins and a home invasion robbery in Brick Township since Friday, Sept. 15, authorities said.
During the night of Sunday, Sept. 17, multiple vehicle burglaries were reported to Brick police in the Shore Acres and Baywood sections of the township, police said. The suspects were operating what appears to be a light blue or silver BMW sedan. (See photo)
