Flight Crew Raises $18K For Family Of Popular Atlantic Air Nurse Jay McChesney A fundraiser has been launched to aid the family of Jay McChesney, a New Jersey father and flight nurse who died last month at 55 years old. Jay, of Hillsborough, died on Friday, Aug. 30, leaving behind his wife, Jennette and their three children, Jordan, James, and Joe. Nicknamed an "All American Hero," Jay was a founding member of the Atlantic Air 1 medevac team and was a nurse at Robert Wood Johnson after having spent 24 years serving in the Coast Guard. Six Flags Guest Injured In Fall While Climbing Building In Restricted Area A Six Flags Great Adventure Guest was injured after climbing a fence into a restricted area Sunday, park officials said. While climbing onto the roof of a building in the restricted area, the guest slipped and injured her leg around 8:30 p.m., officials said.  It was not clear where in the park the incident occurred.  A medevac was called to the park, although it was unclear if the victim was flown or taken by ground. "We are proud of our public safety team, who risked their own safety to serve our guest," officials said.

Fatal Central Jersey Crash Jams NJ Turnpike The New Jersey Turnpike was backed up for nearly 11 miles Thursday morning following a fatal crash in Middlesex County early Thursday, authorities said. One person was killed in the 4:30 a.m. crash near mile marker 80, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. The inner southbound lanes were closed for several hours between Exit 9 and Exit 11 as New Jersey State Police investigated. All traffic was diverted to the outer roadway, troopers said.
