State Police: Triple Tractor-Trailer Crash Shuts Route 78 In Hunterdon County

Multiple lanes were closed for several hours following a crash involving three tractor-trailers on Route 78 in Hunterdon County early Monday morning, state police said.

The crash occurred on Route 78 eastbound near milepost 7.6 in Bethlehem Township just before 1:10 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice.

No serious injuries were reported.

Several lanes were closed for about five hours following the crash but have since reopened, Peele said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Peele said.
