One man was killed and a second injured on Tuesday night during a shooting in Trenton, authorities said.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Shooting Response Team are investigating the multiple shooting, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.

At about 10:15 p.m., Trenton police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at Oakland Street and Hoffman Avenue.

Officers found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Capital Health Regional Trauma Center.

A short time later, Shaquan McNeil, 25, of Trenton, was pronounced dead, Onofri said.

The second victim, a 30-year- old Trenton man, sustained non-life threatening injuries to his leg and rear, the prosecutor said.
