Matthew Morales, of Blackwood, was identified as the shooting victim early Wednesday, May 17, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri.
Hamilton police officers responded to a shooting in progress in the 4900 block of S. Broad Street shortly after 1 a.m.
Police found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Morales was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later, Onofri said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
