Annie is a proud alumna of Purdue University, with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She began her journalism career in front of a camera, reporting news across the Midwest.

Annie’s passion for journalism began back in high school during her time in Youth In Government, where she served as as reporter and press editor for several years. She is proud to have pursued her childhood dream of becoming a journalist. From breaking news to archery on horseback to hanging out with kangaroos, Annie is grateful to share the stories and events of those around her.

In her free time, Annie enjoys showing her horses and watching sports. The only granddaughter of Indiana Pacer’s founder Chuck DeVoe and stepdaughter of Purdue Men’s Basketball Announcer and former player Ralph Taylor, Annie’s love for Indiana basketball runs deep.

A US history buff, Annie is proud to provide news to the Capitol region.

Body Found In Lake Churchill May Be Linked To Easter Sunday Disappearance A body has been recovered from a Germantown lake, authorities say. A body was pulled from the lake on Tuesday, April 18 after an initial report of someone in the water at Lake Churchill earlier in the day, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. Suspects Sought In Olney Elementary Parking Lot Shooting (Video) Montgomery County Police detectives have released video surveillance of a vehicle they believe to be connected to a shooting in Olney late last month. Investigators say that a white Ford Fusion with minor front end damage was observed in the bus turn-around area of the parking lot of Brooke Grove Elementary School on Wednesday, March 29. Several suspects were pictured in and around the vehicle. One of the suspects then shot a gun several times before leaving on foot. The vehicle was later seen driving away from the scene. Rockville Elementary Students Hospitalized After Ingesting 'Methamphetamine Substance' Three Rockville elementary school students are recovering after ingesting an unknown substance. Rockville City Police along with Montgomery County Police detectives were called to the College Garden Elementary School on Yale Place after receiving reports that three students became sick on Monday, April 17. Detectives say that a group of students found a container of blue items that they thought were candy, with three of them ingesting the items. Carjacking Victim Scares Off Thieves In Oxon Hill Parking Garage Detectives are investigating an attempted carjacking after a suspect tried to steal a vehicle out of an Oxon Hill garage. Prince George’s County police officers were called to the parking garage at the MGM National Harbor around 3 a.m. after a man was threatened at gunpoint. Investigation revealed that the man was walking to his vehicle when the suspect approached him and demanded his vehicle. Second Suspect Charged In 2022 Murder Near Pimlico Elementary School A second suspect has been charged in the 2022 murder of a 31-year-old man in Baltimore. On Tuesday, April 11, Baltimore police arrested 18-year-old James Jenkins in connection to the June 2022 murder of Phillip Wallace. Aamir Benton was previously charged with the murder in January. Investigators say that Benton shot and killed Wallace while in the 4800 block of Pimlico Road on June 30, 2022. Jenkins was connected to the murder and has been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder and First Degree Murder. Both Jenkins and Benton remained at Central Booking Intake Facility.

Woman Found Slashed Overnight In Baltimore Baltimore detectives are investigating a murder after a woman was found slashed overnight. The unidentified woman was found with lacerations to her chest in the 500 block of East Jeffery Street shortly before 3 a.m., Tuesday, April 18. Medics rushed the woman to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead. VA Duo Bash Cop Cars In Pursuit To MD With Firearms In Stolen BMW: Police A pair of Virginia men who bashed cop cars with a stolen BMW during a pursuit were eventually captured in Maryland, where various firearms in their possession were seized, authorities said. Hyattsville Strip Club Murder Caught On Video, $25K Reward Offered Detectives have released a video in connection to a fatal nightclub shooting that killed a Landover man last month. Police Investigating Quadruple Shooting In North Baltimore (Developing) Baltimore police are on the scene of a quadruple shooting that occurred this morning. Emergency crews were called to the 2000 block of North Charles Street around 11:45 a.m., Monday, April 17 after reports of a possible shooting were called in, according to Baltimore police.
