Mahwah PBA's Successful 'Movember' Helps Boost Prostate Cancer Awareness

MAHWAH, N.J. -- Members of Mahwah PBA Local 143 raised $3,800 during "Movember" to help raise awareness in the fight against prostate cancer.

The money raised by the officers last month was donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in memory of David F. Hayes and Pedro J. Vega, PBA President Rosario Zito told Daily Voice.

Also honored in memory of the donation is Dr. Micheal Morris, a doctor at Sloan Kettering who "has dedicated his life towards fighting prostate cancer," Zito said.

"Each member wore their beards proudly in hope that one day a cure is found," he said.
