Derby Man Charged With Sex Assault Of Shelton Girl In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A 28-year-old Derby man is facing sexual assault charges after Trumbull police said he repeatedly sexually assaulted a teenage relative from Shelton in his grandmother's Trumbull house, according to the Connecticut Post.

Jaime Rivera is being held on $100,000 bond after being charged Wednesday with two counts of illegal sexual contact, second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual assault, the Connecticut Post reported.

Police told the Connecticut Post that the incidents began in 2014, starting with Rivera forcing the girl to touch him. This year, the girl reported being assaulted and told police she was later treated for a sexually transmitted disease, the Connecticut Post reported.
