Samer Saleh was arrested Oct. 17 and on Oct. 23, ordered by Judge Thomas J. Critchley held in jail pending the disposition of his case.

Saleh appeared before Critchley on Monday with his attorney Thomas Militano, who said he was filing a motion to reconsider Saleh's pretrial detention, the NJHerald said.

Assistant Prosecutor Sahil Kabse said he was not in a position to present a plea offer until provided with cell phone records from the case.

Saleh, who had been staying with the teen girls' family at the time of the incident, was charged with child endangerment, invasion of privacy and more.

He was advised not to speak by Militano and Critchley during Monday's court appearance but said in the court room he needed to return to work to pay his bills, child support and two mortgages, the NJHerald said.

Saleh is also accused of sending explicit messages to the 13- and- 15-year-old sisters, and sending non-explicit messages to their 12-year-old sister, the news outlet said.

The sisters' mom told police about Saleh's "inappropriate behavior" with her daughters and asked that he move out, the article said.
