RAMSEY, N.J. – Being a teenager can be stressful.
Anne Marie Scala and Dina Grizzuti understand this. And they also know some techniques teens can use to alleviate their stress.
The pair will be presenting a workshop to teens on Thursday at the Ramsey Free Public Library. The program runs from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
The program will include a series of activities and discussions to help teens learn simple and effective mindfulness skills that will aid them in dealing with stress.
Mindfulness is "the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us," according to www.mindful.org.
Teens can register for the workshop online at www.ramseylibrary.org/teen.htm . And those with questions, can contact Debbie Burnette at 201-327-1445 or Debbie.firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Ramsey Free Public Library is at 30 Wyckoff Ave. in Ramsey.
