Shoe Drive Throughout Bergen County Benefits Domestic Violence Victims

BERGEN COUNTY, N. J. -- Gently used shoes are being collected at several Bergen County locations throughout this month to benefit The Center for Hope and Safety, a local organization that provides services to domestic violence victims.

Gently used shoes in all sizes are being collected at several Bergen County libraries throughout November in a shoe drive organized by the GFWC Paskack Junior Woman's Club.

Organized by the GFWC Paskack Junior Woman's Club, the shoe drive is taking place through Dec. 1 at local libraries in River Vale, Park Ridge and Washington Township. Those collections started Oct. 1.

The libraries in Hillsdale and Westwood are taking donations through the end of November, officials said.Gently used shoes and boots for men, women and children are being collected.
