A Plainfield man has been arrested in the shooting death of a delivery driver subcontracted by Amazon Wednesday, authorities in Union County announced Friday. Support is surging for the family of a 26-year-old aspiring attorney from New Jersey who was found dead in Pennsylvania last week. Funeral services for Kevin Rosero will be at the Judkins Colonial Home in Plainfield from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 26. Rosero's body was found in a wooded area of Richland Township, Pennsylvania last week. : Pedestrian Struck, Killed By NJ Transit Train ID'd As 18-Year-Old Man
NJ Transit officials have identified the pedestrian struck and killed by a train over the weekend as an 18-year-old Plainfield man. Lorenzo Bautista was struck by Raritan Valley Line train 5530 near the Plainfield station around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, NJ Transit spokeswoman Lisa Torbic said. None of the approximately 30 passengers on board the train were injured, Torbic said. The train left the Raritan Station at 6:14 p.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Cranford at 6:54 p.m. New Jersey Transit police were leading the investigation.

A 19-year-old Union County man is facing criminal charges of animal cruelty after severely neglecting three pets, two of who died, authorities said. A 61-year-old van driver died and 14 passengers were injured in a crash Wednesday morning on Route 24 in Morris County, authorities confirmed. A 2000 Ford E350 passenger van was heading eastbound when it veered off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and overturned around 10:15 a.m. near milepost 2, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said.
