Fireball Lights Up East Coast Sky, Captivating Hundreds Across Multiple States A bright fireball streaked across the East Coast on Monday, Nov. 11, catching the attention of hundreds of people from Connecticut to Virginia (did you see it? Meteor Strikes NJ House A metallic object believed to be a meteorite struck the roof of a home in Mercer County, authorities said. The ranch-style home was occupied at the time on Old Washington Crossing - Pennington Road in Hopewell Township, police said. No one was hurt. The oblong objected measured 4 inches by 6 inches, police said. It penetrated the rood and the ceiling before impacting the hardwood floor, police said. Police were contacting other agencies for confirmation on the meteor. It may be related to the current meteor shower called the Eta Aquarids, they said.

Mystery Rock Maybe From Outer Space Lands In NJ Yard An 8-year-old boy from Cape May County made an extraordinary find with a metal detector. It may link back to a meteor that fell to Earth on Nov. 13, 2021, according to Chris Bakley, an astro-photographer.  "The meteor was so large that many eyewitnesses saw it take over the daytime sky. NASA officials stated that meteorites could possibly be found around our area. All efforts to find these said meteorites came back unsuccessful… Until today!"
