A 14-year-old female was taken to the The Valley Hospital last Friday after vomiting multiple times from one of the gummy bears given to her at school by a classmate, who told her it would "stop her from stressing out," Fair Lawn Police Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

An investigation found that the gummy was a marijuana was determined to be a marijuana edible after the victim was tested at the hospital, Metzler said.

Jeffrey Klein, 48 of Fair Lawn, was also arrested and charged with possession of hashish under five grams, police said.

The 13-year-old will be charged on a juvenile petition in family court, Metzler said.
