Arlie Rodriguez, 47, previously pleaded guilty to killing Patricia Parnham-Hayward, 48, to death at her apartment in May 2013. Her body was found with a garment wrapped around her neck, authorities said.

Rodriguez had spoken to her on the phone shortly before visiting the apartment. When he arrived, Rodriguez entered a room with Parnham-Hayward as a second woman, 59, sat in the apartment. Rodriguez emerged from the room alone shortly afterwards and attacked the second woman, who survived.

Rodriguez must serve the full 30 years before he's eligible for parole.
